I'm so glad I got all those posts done. It was like a little birdy that kept chirping in my ear all day. I thought about not posting them, but the point of this to be able to look back and I didn't want to leave anything out.
We are in exams now at school and I love that time of year. For students, it is awful, but for teachers, it's awesome. We get to dress down, we get 3 1/2 hour planning times while the kids test, and we aren't getting graded on anything!! All of my tests are on scantrons or using the CPS system (where the kids have remotes with multiple choice answers and they get to click their answers in and the computer grades it. Awesome - I know), so I don't have any hand grading to do!!
I did want to show you one more thing about the break.
We have all beige walls. Living in a brand new house, they just panted everything beige and it looks great. We've lived with it for a few months now and decided that we needed some color. We are not beige people. So we picked out colors for our kitchen, our bedroom, and both bathrooms with plans to paint them all over break.
Well, we got two walls done in the kitchen and I was so over. We had planned to only do two walls as accents, but since we have orange peel textured walls, that was such an ordeal. With my OCD self, I can't have imperfections or I'll see them all the time. With textured walls, a straight line is impossible. We used tape, metal paint guards, edgers, and everything else we could find in the paint aisle. Nothing worked. So we did the best we could by hand and called it a day. It looks really good when you don't look too closely to the edges!!
